Aaron - AO - Owens was born and raised in North Philadelphia and played on a national championship team at Simon Gratz High School with Rasheed Wallace and Aaron McKie. After starting his career on the court at 5'8" and 118 pounds, AO shot up to 6'3" - literally growing into one of the top high school players to come from North Philly. AO played basketball at two junior colleges and two four-year universities, including Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, Ark., where he was a Division II All-American. After graduation, AO was drafted into the Continental Basketball Association (CBA) by the Fort Wayne Fury. His superstar game helped the Mobile Revelers win the National Basketball Development League (NBDL) championship in 2002. He went on to play for the AND1 Mixtape Tour (2000-06) and was one of the fan favorites from the popular series, "ESPN's Street Ball: The AND1 Mix Tape Tour."
